Alex Flores-Veliz
NSBE President
Alex is a Computer Science major at Lehman College, minoring in Computer Graphics and Imaging. He has been at NSBE Lehman since the Fall of 2016, and has since taken up the role of Communications Chair in the Spring of 2017, the role of NSBE Vice-President for the Fall 2017 semester and recently has become NSBE President for the Spring 2018 semester. Alex is an aspiring web developer, a loyal Madridista, and a squirrel caller. You can find Alex in the NS club room on Tuesday or Thursday from 5-6PM. Daniel Encarnacion
NSBE Vice President
Daniel is a sophomore at Lehman College, and an honorary alumni of the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. When he is not enjoying his pastime of re-watching 90’s TV sitcoms, primarily Friends & It’s Always Sunny, he is studying for classes in hopes of earning his B.S in Computer Science with a minor in Physics. He has a pet dog named Maxwell, and a cat named Caillou. He is an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Los Angeles Lakers, and will talk sports non-stop if you’re up for it. You can find Daniel during his office hours Wednesday’s at 5pm in the club room. (P.S. Please feel free to bring him chocolate chip cookies, those are his favorite.)

Samantha Burnett
NSBE Treasurer
Samantha is a Junior at Lehman College majoring in computer science. She hopes to become a software engineer in the future and spends free time coding on firecode.io and Hackerrank. Also, she is a Google Developer Challenge Scholarship recipient and Code2040 finalist for 2018. Lastly, she is a huge basketball fan and slightly obsessed with Kyrie Irving.

Tai Larosiliere
NSBE Secretary
Tai is a Junior at Lehman college. She enjoys giving back to her community by volunteering with organizations that encourage young minorities to get involved in the tech field. She enjoys reading, cooking and trying to pass as many checkpoints as she can on Duo lingo during her past time. She is now the secretary of NSBE at Lehman. Her office hours will be Wednesdays at 2-3PM in the club room, feel free to drop by with any questions or concerns or if you need any help with Programming I & II homework and projects.

Angel Morales
SHPE President
Angel Morales is senior at Lehman College and majoring in Computer Science. Angel has been working with the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers for more than 5 years. He is also a CODE2040 Fellow Alumni and former intern at Intel. Angel continues to teach programming at various schools in New York for more than 2 years. His hobbies include drawing, reading, skateboarding, playing handball and video games. His favorite pastime is cruising by the Hudson River or Central Park on his skateboard with his friends or volunteering to teach students about STEM. Angel is interested in Virtual Reality and Artificial Intelligence.

Hafeez is currently a senior, Majoring in Computer Information Systems, He is highly passionate about sports and love to party. He is looking for a career in Data Science and IT. He was a former resident of the Talent tech Pipeline Cohort and he is currently working as a Tech Assistant in Lehman College with the Department of English.

Erika transferred to Lehman College from a non-tech background and is now a senior in Computer Science. During 2017 she was a programming tutor at the MCSLC and now she is currently a TTP resident at Meredith Corporation and a Tech Interactive Fellow. As of now, she is interning as a Software Developer Intern at Meredith Corporation. In her free time she enjoys the arts, reading and everything romance. You can find her in the club room 4-5 on Tuesdays.

Miguel Rodriguez is a Senior at Lehman College majoring in Computer Science and endlessly exploring its' many subfields. Years back he fell in love programming as its' expansive, creative potential drew him like a moth to a flame. When he's not working on school assignments, he's usually honing his existing skills with small, neat projects or reading up on better ways to improve the ones he already has. It's this passion that inspired him to give back to his fellow students when he decided to join NSBE / SHPE at Lehman as the Programs Chair.

Mohammed is a senior student in Lehman College, Majoring in computer science. This fall he is working as a Cuny Tutor. He is a transfer student from City College of New York. He joined NSBE as a member in Spring 2016 and became the NSBE Academic Excellence Chair in fall 2017. His primary focus and inspiration for his studies is Software engineering. He is both driven and self-motivated, and he is constantly experimenting with new technologies and techniques. In his free time, he likes to play video games and listen to music. You can find Abir in the NS club room on Monday / Thursday from 3-4 PM.
